Extended Abstract/Registration Deadline: May 8, 2013 (23:59 CET)

*****************************************************************

KU Leuven will host the third International Workshop on Cryptography,
Robustness, and Provably Secure Schemes for Female Young Researchers
(CrossFyre).

The main purpose of this workshop is to bring female researchers in the
field of Cryptography and Information Security together to promote their
research topics and their careers as women in research. We hope to encourage
a tighter cooperation between women in Cryptography and Information
Security, and to motivate joint papers.

Though the workshop is primarily aimed at female researchers, male
researchers are also invited to take part. We also welcome undergraduate
students to this workshop and strongly encourage supervisors to support
participation, be it passive (mainly listening) or active (all students are
encouraged to submit abstracts and give talks during the workshop).

This 1 1/2 day event will take place from June 20 to June 21, 2013 in
Leuven, Belgium.

Format:

* 3 key-note talks from invited speakers Elisabeth Oswald (University of
Bristol), Svetla Nikova (KU Leuven) and Claire Vishik (Intel Corporation);

* fellow researchers introducing themselves: selected fields in
cryptography, security, robustness, provable security etc. are briefly
outlined;

* a plenary discussion on positions and perspectives of women in research,
moderated by Tatjana Vogt (BeWiSe, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven);

* a workshop dinner at the Faculty Club, sponsored by Microsoft Research (
<http://research.microsoft.com> http://research.microsoft.com).

Important dates:

-- May 8, 2013: Deadline for extended abstract of your talk

-- May 17, 2013: Notification for grant applicants + Announcement of the
program

-- June 20-21, 2013: CrossFyre workshop

opportunities, make contacts, and exchange experiences. The workshop does
NOT intend to discriminate men. Male researchers are of course welcome to
attend.
