Dear Gabriel, Alain,

thanks for the hints!

After I applied my program to a larger data set, I found that, contrary to my initial assessment, the polymorphic hash function for the complete record is not good in my case. The hash stats show that the largest bucket has more items in it than I have single item buckets - not a good sign. So I anyway have to write a complete custom hash function.

Is there some documentation on what the polymorphic hash function does?

Best regards,

Michael
