Hello,

is there a description how a http based OPAM repository has to look
like if I want to create my own?

Maybe I just didn't find it on the OPAM documentation pages.

I don't think so but it's very easy. Something along these lines should get you started:

    mkdir -p repo/packages

put your packages in the directory `repo/packages/`

    cd repo && opam-mk-repo

And then just make the `repo` directory available over http.

Note, this should be done each time you add a new package. It will also download and cache the tarballs in an archive/ directory in the repo. You can avoid that by invoking opam-mk-repo with the -i option.
