>From the online docs:

Programs that use the unix library must be linked as follows: 

        ocamlc other options unix.cma other files
        ocamlopt other options unix.cmxa other files

For interactive use of the unix library, do: 

        ocamlmktop -o mytop unix.cma
        ./mytop
