My call looks like this: Marshal.to_string f [Marshal.Closures] but unfortunately Marshal.to_string raises an exception: Fatal error: exception Invalid_argument("output_value: abstract value (Custom)") Unfortunately I can't find any discussion of this possibility in the manual. Can anybody on the list explain what the problem is and how I might work around it? Norman
