I really hammered it, but no crash here on Ubuntu Feisty with Xorg 7.2. However, it seems that Edgy (the one I had trouble with) has Xorg 7.1. I didn't run Xorg 7.1 long enough do any OpenGL hackingor testing because my window manager kept crashing.
