[Caml-list] Problem installing core

I'm on OS X 10.8.1, with OCaml from the .dmg, 4.00.0.  

New to OCaml.

I managed to install 'batteries', and am now trying to install 
yminsky-ocaml-core-8808e3a2571f .

I now get the following:

jrv:yminsky-ocaml-core-8808e3a2571f jr$ sudo ./build-and-install -s
=> base/type_conv
./oasis.sh: line 49: oasis: command not found
*** ERROR: Error generating base/type_conv/_oasis
jrv:yminsky-ocaml-core-8808e3a2571f jr$

What am I missing?

Hi John,

Building core from the Mercurial tree on Bitbucket requires oasis to be
installed. An easier path is to build from the released packages, which
don't have this dependency:

https://ocaml.janestreet.com/ocaml-core/108.00.02/core-suite-108.00.02.tar.gz

It looks to me like oasis [1] is not installed.

quick look at oasis, and decided to get a little further into learning
OCaml before I try it.   I went with Yury's suggestion.
