If I use ocamlcp to attempt to profile the execution of a
caml program with classes, I get a syntax error. This is the
piece of code generated by ocamlcp where the syntax error
comes up:

class environment (env:env) = object
   (__ocaml_prof_cnt_xcaml_session_.(5) <- Pervasives.succ
__ocaml_prof_cnt_xcaml_session_.(5); method getvar varname =
....

I wonder if it makes any sense for ocamlprof to add such
initialization code as this before a method definition,
using the sequence operator ";". Does ocamlcp not know about
initializer methods?

Or am I doing something wrong?

Alex

This is a known bug in 3.06 (PR#1464). You can get a patch at
< http://caml.inria.fr/patches/pr1464-patch.txt >.

Oh, ok. I was just curious to test ocamlcp--never did it
before. I guess I can wait till 3.07 comes out.
