Hello,
I can find bindings for MPICH, but I would prefer OpenMPI.
I'd like to check if it can beat Parmap when run on a local
computer only. I know some recent OpenMPI version is quite smart when
running only locally (datacopy of messages is avoided).

Isn't MPI a standardized API ?
You have OCaml↔MPI bindings (I only know of Xavier's ocamlmpi) they
should be usable wih any MPI implementation, MPICH or OpenMPI.

Indeed, it compiles well with OpenMPI too.
The tests are also OK (I tried on a multicore machine, not distributed
yet but will soon).
