I know that the lack of it makes references such as List.map ubiquitous, and many argue it's a good thing. However, it feels refreshing to use short names in an orderly way. Since there's also the Batteries, perhaps a consensus can be worked out on what should be in a such an extension to Pervasives? Cheers, Alexy
