Dear category theorists,

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2024 Lloyd Roeling conference, to be held at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, March 15–17, 2024. This is the latest iteration in a regional conference which has been held regularly since the 1970s.

For those requesting funding support or contributing a talk, we recommend registering at the conference webpage<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/0VOKCjZ12RfqMj03uWvRIR?domain=userweb.ucs.louisiana.edu/> by January 24, 2024 for full consideration. If you submit your funding request or talk proposal by this date, you can expect to receive decisions by the end of January.

Invited Speakers:

  *   Omar Antolín Camarena (UNAM)
  *   Christin Bibby (LSU)
  *   Irina Bobkova (Texas A&M)
  *   Peter Haine (UC Berkeley)
  *   Mike Hill (UCLA)
  *   Kalina Mincheva (Tulane)
  *   Marcy Robertson (Melbourne)

Additional Details:

  *   Conference Webpage: https://userweb.ucs.louisiana.edu/~c00424469/lr2024/<https://protect-au.mimecast.com/s/0VOKCjZ12RfqMj03uWvRIR?domain=userweb.ucs.louisiana.edu/>
  * Timing: The conference will start in the early afternoon on Friday 3/15/2024 and conclude in the late morning of Sunday 3/17/2024.
  * Location: Lafayette, Louisiana in the Department of Mathematics at UL Lafayette.
  * Registration: Conference registration is now open. There is no fee to register. To help with planning, we request that all participants complete the registration form.
  * Funding: Thanks to the support of the National Science Foundation (#2341618), the conference has travel funding available for some participants without other means of support. We particularly encourage requests from graduate students, postdocs, early career mathematicians, and those from backgrounds which are traditionally underrepresented in mathematics. Funding requests should be made on the registration form.
  * Contributed Talks: Currently there are openings for short, contributed talks. Abstract proposals should be submitted during registration.

Further details about the conference will be made available on the conference webpage as the information becomes finalized. In the meantime, feel free to contact the organizers with questions.

– Philip Hackney (along with Daniel Davis and Robin Koytcheff)
