The most of the content generated online is in the form of text, thus, it generated large number of opportunities to the researchers, practitioners, and academicians working in the area of text analytics and retrieval to analyze this huge amount of text. This workshop is aimed to invite state-of-the-art methods for text analytics and retrieval. It is also aimed to provide a forum where researchers can present and discuss their research with experienced Information Retrieval community/ researchers. In addition, it is aimed to provide researchers an opportunity to establish a helpful community by collaborations. The 1st International Workshop on Text Analytics and Retrieval (TexAR- 2018) invites original and unpublished research papers in all aspects of Text Analytics and Information Retrieval.
