Greetings to all! Bill’s family is happy to announce that the Lawvere Archives website is launched! click here: https://lawverearchives.com/ We ask you to explore, send us your ideas, and if possible share with your networks, colleagues, students and friends! Bill drew inspiration from discussing and engaging with his many friends and colleagues and students, and we hope that this website can, in part, continue the discussion. Here is the text from our first blogpost welcoming visitors: We invite you to explore this project which is dedicated to collecting and sharing Bill’s works. It is a resource for students and scholars, and is intended as an introduction to Bill’s work, as well as a source for research. It is now two years since Bill’s passing, and we would like to highlight the many Memorials including several obituaries, meetings, special sessions and dedications which have taken place. The family greatly appreciates the organizing efforts, talks, writings, videos, and messages of so many of Bill’s friends, and the important connections made to the historical and mathematical developments. We know that we can expect many more interesting discussions in the coming period as well, and we are deeply touched by the outpouring of activity and warmth towards Bill and his work, and to his family. We would also like to give special thanks to Matías Menni and Francisco Marmolejo, and to our web designer Tom Storm, for working alongside us on this project. The archive and website are living and growing. There are still many materials that will be made available in the future. We would love to hear from visitors. More notes, photos, or recollections would be wonderful to receive. We will use this blog to periodically highlight different parts of the website, as well as to announce new sections or new materials, news and other developments concerning Bill's work. Enjoy your visit! Thank You, – The family of F. William “Bill” Lawvere You're receiving this message because you're a member of the Categories mailing list group from Macquarie University.
