CMS 2010 Summer meeting

Dear Categoricians,

There will be a special session on "Tensor Categories" at the 2010
Summer meeting of the CMS. It will be held on June 4-6 in Fredericton,
New Brunswick, Canada.

We've used the Joyal-Street term "Tensor Categories" rather than the
classical "Monoidal Categories" to emphasize the rapid development
we have seen recently in the field, motivated by a wide array of new
applications. The talks will be a half hour long. There may be minimal
support, mostly covering some expenses for graduate students or post-docs.

The following people have agreed to participate: Margaret Beattie,
Robin Cockett, Geoff Cruttwell, Jeff Egger, Claudio Hermida, Andre Joyal,
Toby Kenney, Fred Linton, Michael Makkai, Dorette Pronk, Brian Redmond,
Bob Rosebrugh, Dietmar Schumacher, Peter Selinger, Richard Wood. Others
have expressed interest. The number of slots is limited so if you are
interested, please contact me as soon as possible
