This research intensive will take place from 29 May--4 June at the lakefront Beaver Hollow Conference Center in the upstate New York town of Java Center. All participants will have funding support for * Travel, room, and board * Attending the 2023 JMM * Travel to continue collaborations in the year following. The mentors and their projects are * John Baez - chemical reaction networks * Valeria de Paiva - indexed containers and partial compilers using lenses and Dialectica Categories * Nina Otter - social networks and simplicial complexes Applicants should be either close to completing their PhD or have earned it in the past five years. We welcome those in academia and industry. Funding is primarily for US-based persons, though there are limited slots for international participants; self-funding is also possible. Members of groups which are underrepresented in the mathematics and computer science communities are especially encouraged to apply.
