The Chaire de la Vall=E9e Poussin was created twenty years ago in honor of =
the great Belgian mathematician Charles-Jean de la Vall=E9e Poussin (see ht=

Ieke Moerdijk will give a series of lectures at the Institut de Recherche e=
n Math=E9matique et Physique of the Universit=E9 catholique de Louvain in S=

The first lecture, called the le=E7on inaugurale and accessible to a wide a=
udience, is scheduled on Tuesday, 6 September, at 4.15 p.m. =0A=
