Hi!

Today I tried to make the cgit binary run as system user "git",
although it is regularly spawned by the webserver. I wrote a small
wrapper to accomplish this. If you're interested, I wrote down how

suEXEC might be the more standard way to accomplish this. Not sure how
it works with lighty, but it's quite simple to setup on Apache. Have a
look here [1].
