Hey guys, Seeing as there hasn't been a release for a while, it seems prudent that we get one out fairly soon. Indeed there have been a lot of new things added and code refactored since 1.1. There's still the possibility of getting the render view improvements ready for 1.2 -- if those are resubmitted according to the plan John and I discussed -- but I'm also fine putting these off until after, as we've got quite a bit of churn with 1.2 as-is. Either way, kernel.org's Konstantin is back next week, at which time I expect he'll give the new archive signature notes feature a spin, and if it works as intended, I think I'll release shortly after. Between now and then, that leaves us some time for refining things as they come up. How's that sound to everyone? Jason
Sounds pretty exciting. The recent activity on the ML is lively and interesting to read and learn from. Keep up the great work! Maybe some day I'll try hacking on it. :)

You can see them in action (using my test repo, for now): https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/mricon/hook-test.git/ I'll start the work switching things over to this new hotness once the official 1.2 is out. Great, thanks Konstantin. I'll release right away.

I found the first signature in the wild: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/tag/?h=v4.4.144 Who is supposed to push these signatures? Will the developers have to or is there any automatism to sync static archives and git notes? -- main(a){char*c=/* Schoene Gruesse */"B?IJj;MEH" "CX:;",b;for(a/* Best regards my address: */=0;b=c[a++];) putchar(b-1/(/* Chris cc -ox -xc - && ./x */b/42*2-3)*42);} -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... The sigs are generated by developers making the release (Greg Kroah-Hartman), and we use it to generate the official archive in mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/. This was the first trial run and we'll probably see more in the future. -K -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
