Subject: [COFF] EDSAC replica switched on
Date: Mon, 26 Nov 2018 09:08:47 +1100 (EST) [thread overview]
Message-ID: <alpine.BSF.2.21.9999.1811260905390.14680@aneurin.horsfall.org> (raw)
A replica of EDSAC, the Electronic Delay Storage Automatic Calculator, was
switched on at Bletchley Park on this day in 2014; EDSAC was the first
practical general purpose stored program electronic computer (and how's
that for hair-splitting?).
