Maybe I forgot to stress the point that both Gnusae do not read from the same servers, may have different subscribed groups and may not even belong to the same user and thus share a common $HOME. Looks like the Slave Gnusae feature uses article numbers to uniquely identify messages. So if this could be extended to consider message-ids instead, would that be what I'm looking for? I think so.
