We (EE. Dept) are using a spam black-list processed by sendmail to block spam. The black-list was generated by posting to USENET to attract spam. The black list consists mostly of IPs, some domains and a large number of Class B and at least 3 Class A addresses (large portions of China, Korea and Nigeria). Sometime ago, I began plotting the results. The patterns are not something I would have predicted: http://www.ee.ryerson.ca/~elf/spam/
