Yeah, that's true...

Nothing bad. That's why I asked about a hook, I don't really think
the default behavior is wrong, I'd just like a different behavior.
Right now it just says "Checking new news...done" and gives me
the mistaken impression that I've got no mail, could it say
"Checking new news, unplugged...done", instead?
