I just tried to move a block of newsgroups with C-w and C-y, and found
it somewhat counter-intuitive that C-y would yank only one newsgroup,
instead of the whole block that I killed.

Yes.  It's not a true bug though, just hit C-y enough times and all
the groups will come out.  It's mildly convenient for placing blocks
of groups just right (one at a time), but a distraction doing it
blind, and I don't like the way it inserts above the current line
either.

Now that you mention it, I don't find the way `C-y' works to be very
intuitive, but I don't think one should change the way functions like
that work.
