- From following the discussion here, I presume September Gnus is
approaching beta stage, so I installed it on my work machine today. By
an large, everything seems just peachy in a few short tests before
heading home. Just one annoying problem.
It seems the foreign group specification has changed between these
versions, and I get duplicate mail groups every time I start up. My
.newsrc.eld contains nnml:blah.blah from the 5.0 version, but sgnus is
creating nnml+:blah.blah for every entry in my active file. I figure I
can get around this tomorrow by just editing the .eld file to add all
the + characters, as the new groups have lost all info about what I've
read already.
This seems like it could be a problem when sgnus goes to beta and hits a
wider audience, so I thought I should mention it.
