Sam> bbdb/gnus-pop-up-bbdb-buffer(nil) The bbdb/gnus-* functions are part of bbdb-gnus.el, as comes with bbdb-1.50, and they have largely not be updated for Gnus 5. It would not surprise me if some things are now broken. In particular, I do not have automatic BBDB buffer popups enabled, and it looks to me like that's a good culprit for your problem. Sam> I use gnus-bbdb.el release 1.19. Is there a more recent release ? Sam> Does anyone how to correct this problem without shutting down BBDB Sam> completely ? The current version is 1.20[1], but that was just a minor fix (a switch from header-from to gnus-header-from). You could disable the automatic popups either entirely, or just in mail groups if that is where the problem is always ocurring. The real solution, of course, is to find and fix the problem, but I'm no elisp god. I code in lisp so infrequently it takes me a few days to spool up to anything close to god mode, and I'm not willing to take the time just now.
