Subject: sgnus does not obey gnus-nntp-server/gnus-select-metod.
Date: Tue, 16 Apr 1996 10:20:49 +0200 (MET DST)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <199604160820.KAA04380@bombur2.uio.no> (raw)

My ~/.emacs says

(setq load-path (cons "/hom/larsi/pub/sgnus/lisp" load-path))
(setq gnus-select-method '(nntp "nntp.ifi.uio.no"))

gnus (on solva.ifi.uio.no with sgnus-0.73/emacs-19.30.98) answers:

nntp (nntp.ifi.uio.no) open error: 'NNTP server is not specified.'. Continue? (y or n)

It makes no difference if I use
	(setq gnus-nntp-server "nntp.ifi.uio.no")
in addition to or instead of gnus-select-method.
I changed gnus-select-method to '(nnspool ""), that worked.

BTW, where did the gnus-summary-toggle-header binding go? I miss it!

Regards,

Hallvard
