Let our friends in the cheaper worlds do the printing ;-)

Naah go for it, so we can get our september gnus t-shirts

Actually, that isn't too bad. I was hoping US$20-25, total,
and willing to go to US$30.

Shipping I know. To the US will be $3 ground or $6 air mail. Purely
guessing, I'd think the t-shirt itself will be $10-12.

Norway's kinda expensive.

Well, I really want to have the t-shirts in house before I announce
them for sale. Things can fall through and so often they do*, and I
really don't want to sit there with lots of orders and no t-shirts, or
something. I might be run over by a truck on my way to the t-shirt
people, for instance.

Well, I'm 1.95, so I definitely have to print t-shirts that are big
enough for me. :-)

I'll see what the t-shirt people say. If I can get several sizes
without a significant bump in price, I'll get a few of each size.
(Mostly XL, though, since that's the most popular size, I guess.)

Yes, sort of. I've been playing around with the recently released
ecash libraries and am very interested in providing access to them
from emacs, as the ecash clients I've seen are suboptimal. Whether
something actually gets into Red Gnus depends on a number of factors.

If nothing else, I want to beat Microsoft/Netscape to doing it.

Do you have any guesstimate as to what the cost of the shirts,
or shipping, will be? Given the effort you've put into Gnus, I
certainly wouldn't want to force you to give a price that will put you
at a loss (I wouldn't even begrudge you making a profit on the deal),
but I don't want to commit to getting a shirt that would end up
costing US$40, either. (;

Well, if you do get around to printing multiple sizes, I'd like an XL
and an XXL. If not, I'd just want an XL. I'll even prepay and
everything.

So is the t-shirt digicash pay option on the Red Gnus list?

How about pre-ordering with full/partial payment? I want 2-3 medium/large.

Does one size really fits all? I, for one, am not a big enough guy to wear
a XL. M or L fits better me.

Why don't we do a survey on what sizes people want. Then you can order one
or two sizes that most people want. Also, you get a ball-park figure of how
many T-shirt to print.

I'd definitely want something bigger than an XL (XXL usually works) -
when you are over 2 meters tall, it can get to be a bother finding clothes
that fit. How about an extra-small as well, perhaps my son can wear
one. :) Anybody else in this same boat?

Sell them to a local car wash. :)

You may have thought I had forgotten all about those September Gnus
t-shirts, but there has actually been some progress in that area. I
expect that I'll get the shirts printed late this week or early next
week. (I'm flat broke at the moment, so I have to scrounge up some
money to get the shirts printed.) When the shirts are printed and I
have them in my grubby hands, I'll announce them and you can start
flooding me with money. :-)

The design is very simple -- the front just has the Gnus logo over the
left breast. The back will just read "September Gnus". The shirt
will be black, and the art will be yellow. XL only, I guess.

Oooh. I'm all excited. What if nobody order any? ... Then I won't

shurely I can't wear Gnus t-shirts... Hubris and all that? ... I
