This will be difficult to do properly. First of all, the name of the sequence file (default is .mh_sequence) can be changed in the MH/nmh configuration file ".mh_profile". Second, there are 2 kinds of sequences. The most common is a "public" sequence, which is kept in the .mh_sequence (or equivalent) file, for the given folder. The other is a "private" sequence which is kept in the users MH/nmh global "context" file (whose name can also be changed in the .mh_profile). And to make matters worse, the name of the MH/nmh configuration file (default is .mh_profile) can be changed using environment variables.
