In fact, in cases where a single alias expands to multiple addresses, I'd rather they didn't to prevent minibuffer overflow. I'd be plenty happy if I could just type the alias name and hit return. Even RMail under FSF Emacs can do that! It expands the aliases in the temporary buffer it uses to compose the resent message. Later, Ed
