In general, this behavior is nice. However, when the last component of the group name if "moderated", the abbreviation is less useful (i.e. "comp.lang.c.moderated" and "comp.lang.c++.moderated" both become "c.l.c.moderated"). How about spelling out the penultimate component instead in such cases (yielding "c.l.c.m" and "c.l.c++.m")? -- Andrew Koenig, ark@research.att.com, http://www.research.att.com/info/ark
