I have no objection to moving files around, or to removing unnecessary
dependencies. The hierarchy (gnus -> mm -> rfc*) is reasonable.
Some care should be taken to not step on Gnus' toes -- e.g., if some rfc*.el
file uses a mm- function for a good reason, instead of just removing the
functionality, it should be replaced with something like a callback or
something.
Anyway, it's easier to talk with a patch.
