This should be > automatic, though. I think it's deliberately not automatic: when a server is apparently down, Gnus marks it "denied" until you decide to attempt to reconnect. Otherwise, you might get seriously bored waiting for the network timeout for each group. (See the "Unavailable Servers" Info entry.) I think the canonical command to force reconnecting is `gnus-server-remove-denials', or R in the Server buffer. It might be natural to have C-u g in the Group buffer do it as well. `gnus-group-get-new-news-this-group' (M-g) seems to do it (for the single group) already. -- Jouni K Seppänen
