I am in the same situation where i always gcc email I write to the group I
post to for archiving purpose and for the thread completeness. Right now I
have to manually mark them as dormant.

gnus-gcc-mark-as-[dormant, ticked] would be nice to have.

You can probably hack something up in `gnus-inews-do-gcc'...

Yes, got up to there, but there is no generic gnus-group-mark-article
function which I could use to set a dormant mark.

gnus-group-mark-article depends on gnus-mark-article-as-read (and
again I couldn't find a generic function for any mark - or dormant for
that matter) and gnus-group-make-articles-read.

Hi all,

I use
(setq gnus-gcc-mark-as-read t)

Is there a gnus-gcc-mark-as-dormat ?
To me it makes a lot more sense when I followup in
email groups with expiration. This way I will never loose
my own emails :)

Thanks,

        Nelson
