I stupidly thought it was a trouble with emacs. I got from SuSE 6.4 to SuSE 7.0 to be on the same distribution than someone else... The XF86Config is alright I think (same as when the wheel worked...). And the wheel works in netscape if I plugin the proper code. Now that I see the problem is elsewhere, I'll think some more...
