Further further update :) This is definitely tc.el, I haven't seen the problem unless I get asked for the citation mark. When I manually remove the spaces before "--text follows this line--" and the X-Hashcash header, everything works fine. Basically, the cite indents those two line with 1 space each and that makes message-mode unhappy. The reason for the M-q hanging indent is that now everything in the message is believed to be a header... I'll look at the tc.el code, but more importantly, since Lars Clausen hasn't reponded yet and the tc.el package seems unmaintained, can anyone recommend a better cite mechanism for me? Supercite, specifically, looks nice but a bit heavyweight. Any opinions? Thanks! Ted
