In the context of the thread that statement made sense (we were talking about converting setq statements to the custom-set-variables format), but alone it *is* overly simplistic. Of course, I didn't mean that customization is trivial by any means, I was only referring to migrating setq statements. Thanks for customize-rogue, that is very neat code. Ted
