Gnus + procmail question

Gnus + procmail question

I'm using procmail to pre-filter my e-mail so that anything with a
dangerous-looking attachment (.exe, .pif, etc.) gets forwarded to
/dev/null (everything else stays in my spool).  Given that this is the
only way I'm using procmail, do I have to tell Gnus about it at all?

If you're using IMAP to get mail, maybe the server should know about
procmail's lock files.

If it's a local spool, Gnus should respect procmail's file locks but I
don't know for sure that it does.  I have never had problems because
of it, but I may have had the problems and not realized it.
