No. The whole point is to hide information from people who can read your files by using a "master" password based on the cipher used. If we store the password cache in a persistent file, that file can be read. There are ways around this but no easy ones (you can do things like use ssh-agent or hardware encryption). In the end, you need to prove it's you and no one else running that second instance of Gnus. Ted
