IMHO, if you are the "de facto Gnus maintainer" (as Miles said), it's
time to try it to see if it works better (or worse) than PGG.  I have
no interest on your usage, but you seems to have just stated that "the
packages included in Gnus (or Emacs) are good, otherwise they are bad"
again and again.

I don't understand why you want to include it in Gnus CVS.  I think
the CVS is the place to be used for development rather than
distribution.  Is it not enough to include the EasyPG tarball into the
Gnus tarball on release, or just to prepare a mirror of EasyPG on the
Gnus distribution site?
