Hi
I have set my html renderer to shr which works, but whenever I click a
link, it opens twice in the external browser.
I want it to open in the external browser - that is fine, but only once.
This started only recently, but I can not pinpoint the exact time when
this started.
Any suggestions what the problem is?
Thanks,
Rainer

Similar behavior seen here. Note if I click with middle-mouse button,
correct behavior occurs (only opens once in external browser).

Thanks - middle-mouse button works.
But there is still a bug somewhere...

While we are at it - is there a way that I can open the link in emacs
instead of an external browser via mouse?
Sometimes I would prefer this.

Yes, I noticed this late last year with Emacs 25. Haven't seen it with
Emacs 24.5 (using the Gnus that comes with it). It's still present in
25.0.92 (I haven't had time to try out .93 yet).

This is fixed for me in the version of emacs I built today:
"GNU Emacs 25.1.50.5 (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.24.30)
of 2016-05-04"
(meaning when I clik on a link it only opens once in external browser)

Confirmed.
In GNU Emacs 25.1.50.1 (i686-pc-cygwin, GTK+ Version 3.14.13)
