Howdy.
I use total-expire. Whenever I leave the *Summary* buffer, it expires
the messages in that folder. I generally leave the *Summary* buffer
via 'q'. However, the group line is not adjusted accordingly.
My group buffer format is:
(setq gnus-group-line-format "%S%m %4t %3N %3y : %P%(%g%)\n")
which for the %-impaired looks like:
149 9 1 : nnfolder:mbox
in most cases. It reads "in nnfolder:mbox, there are 149 messages, 9
of which are marked, and 1 which is unread.".
The "total messages" field does not get updated. In the example
above, when I C-u ENTER to enter the mbox group, it shows 9 ticked
messages, 1 unread message, and 5 old messages.
The "marked" and "unread" columns always update correctly when leaving
the *Summary* buffer respective of the operations I perform.
It should be noted that when I press 'g' the total message count is
updated.
Has anyone seen this or know about this problem?
Cheers,
cjr

The "total messages" number is an estimate based on MAX-NUMBER less
MIN-NUMBER.
