Well, in case anyone cares, I heard it from someone (who...er...doesn't work in the OS group at Apple ;-) that hard links would be supported soon. [please permit me a moment of venting] of course, this is the same moron who thought there were no Mac users who actually wanted pre-emptive multi-tasking or real memory management, and true to form, he thought hard links would just be confusing to the user. I wonder if the NeXT guys just giggle at the MacOS people when they have to work together now. for what it's worth, Michael
