I'm extending NNML, a perl server that serves nnml folders as nntp. My plans such things as xbiff support; addition of articles from mailagent or anything else that can speak on a socket; ssleay for validationg; and transparent remote nnml-like storage, retrieval, and expiration. Just don't expect any kind of speed in its implementation due to tuit-shortage. I've extended it a little but nothing worth mention yet.
