The difference is that .newsrc* contain all servers in one file, but the .marks files are specific to each server (to each group, even). This means, you can read servers A, B, C at work and servers A, D, E at home and sync the marks files for A and then you'll get synchronization for that server between home and work. In the long run, I envision that the .newsrc* files whither away, to be replaced with server-specific or group-specific files. Kai
