For 4.0.x, they will continue to be in the same distribution, it would be too big of a pain in the #%!@ to change that. The new stuff, when it is ready for general release, will be packaged separately so that people who just want URL loading can have it, etc. Emacs/W3 is likely to be split apart even more into a series of parsers and DOM components, that something like Gnus could use to do web-based backends without all the HTML rendering code (necessarily). -bp -bp -- Ceterum censeo vi esse delendam
