Set gnus-agent-synchronize-flags to t (previously, I had it to nil, by default); 2. Apply the patch in that message. Since then, I didn't have much time to read NNTP news, but everytime I did, things behaved perfectly fine. Therefore, I suppose that either one or both of these actions are responsible for fixing my problem. This was with: GNU Emacs 21.4.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars) of 2007-06-19 on ninsei, modified by Debian and No Gnus v0.6 I think I'm going to switch to Emacs 22 and a more recent No Gnus soon, so this is probably my last report in this configuration.
