Hi,
I am using gnus and I have a problem with duplicated mail since I
configured my mail back-end (fetchmail) to keep the old mail on the
server. I restored the setting but it was too late. I already had
thousand of duplicated messages in my nnml groups. Is there a way to
delete them? Thanks.
Regards,

Hi Kamov
I think you already received the basic answer to this on the other group
- gnu.emacs.gnus
ie
(setq nnmail-treat-duplicates 'delete)
See section 6.3.11 of the Gnus manual, which includes handy hints on how
to be rude to your girlfriend :-)
So I presume the problem is weeding out the thousands of duplicates.
How do you split your mail?
If you use Gnus splitting facilities (nnmail-split-fancy or
nnmail-split-methods) then I _think_ that simply marking all the messages
and then re-spooling (do B r) should eliminate the duplicates. (After
setting the above variable)
Notice the _think_ - I'm no expert!!
