gnus won't move messages to non-latin named folders

Hi to all!
I use Gnus with IMAP setup (offlineimap->dovecot->Gnus) and have a
problem with non-latin IMAP folder names. Gnus won't move messages
to/from folders with non-latin names. Meantime with latin named folders
everything works fine. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you.

All charsets should work fine, but I've never used offlineimap.  Is it
possible that it's offlineimap that does something odd with non-Latin
charsets?

I don't think so as I have offlineimap set up not to work directly with
folders, but through the dovecot interface. And thus dovecot is the only
thing between Gnus and my emails. 

I got the following error message:

Couldn't move article 2: NO (TRYCREATE) Mailbox doesn't exist: Gmail /

And it looks to me like a some charset misbehaviour. By the way I was
forced to use Emacs 24 (with Gnus v5.13) instead of Emacs 23 (I prefer
stable Debians for my everyday work) just because of broken built-in
Gnus imap support. And dovecot setup initially also was a bad imap (with
some servers that I use) workaround. But now I got a local mail
repository as a bonus which I like a lot. I'm not complaining and I
use Gnus and I do like it but it does really have some rough places.

Could you

(setq nnimap-record-commands t)

and then look in the " *imap log*" buffer after getting this error
message?  Post the relevant commands from that log buffer here.

That's very odd.

Do you have a mailbox called "[Gmail]/            "?  Or what's the real
name of the mailbox you're trying to copy to?Subscription messages for the requested mailing lists have been sent.
The resulting groups will be created when the first message
arrives from the mailing lists.

But it is trying to copy to

(utf7-decode "[Gmail]/&ACAAIAAgACAAIAAgACAAIAAgACAAIAAg-" t)
=> "[Gmail]/            "

which is really really weird.  Are you entering the "[Gmail]/Важное"
group name in a non-standard manner or something?
