Subject: How to use socks5 proxy in nnimap
Date: Sun, 12 Dec 2010 20:43:07 -0500 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <8739q2jvmc.fsf@gmail.com> (raw)
Hi~
I was wondering if I can use the socks 5 proxy in nnimap method
accessing gmail? I've tried to insert the following codes into my .gnus
files but it didn't work.
>(setq socks-override-functions 1)
> (setq socks-noproxy '("localhost" "news.gmane.org"))
> (require 'socks)
> (defalias 'open-network-stream 'socks-open-network-stream)
I check the gmail webpage and it still showed the accessing IP is my
real IP not the socks server.
Thank you very much!
