Subject: Newbie: how to start using the Agent?
Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2002 22:21:19 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <873crrgreo.fsf@crybaby.cs.uni-dortmund.de> (raw)

So I have this new version of Gnus which automatically puts all
secondary nnimap and nntp servers under the Agent. Good.

I edit the list of categories: there is just one category, default,
and its predicate is true.

I set gnus-agent-handle-level to 2.

I set the level of the group nntp+gmane.emacs.ding to 2.

I hit J u on the group.

Nothing happens, except that Gnus tells me it's finished downloading
the group. There are approx 200 unread messages in the group.

Entering the group, marking some messages with @, then hitting J u,
downloads them.

But I have another group, nnimap+dtm:ir.discuss, also on level 2,
where J u fetches articles quite nicely.

What am I doing wrong?
